Public Health Services
Local public health services are vital in remote areas to prevent outbreaks and treat disease and illness promptly, greatly reducing the loss of life, health, and property.
In addition to public health services at the primary (sub-district health promotion hospitals), secondary (large community hospitals), and tertiary level (medical schools), many areas need small health service units at the village level.
Dhanin Tawee Chearavanont Foundation supports local hospitals that have a mission to increase the strength and coverage of public health services in their area of responsibility to help improve service quality and accessibility for people in remote areas.
The Light of Heart Building
Dhanin Tawee Chearavanont Foundation gave 5.9 million baht in 2022-23 to support Umphang Hospital.
Dr. Worawit Tantiwatanasap, Director of Umphang Hospital, received the donations to build the Light of Heart facility in Penkeling village at Umphang in Tak. The health-promotion center will provide medical services and, especially, midwifery to protect the lives and health of mothers and babies during pregnancy and childbirth. The center is expected to be completed and ready to operate in 2024.
